Jim Parriott's 'Defying Gravity'

It looks like Jim Parriott's series Defying Gravity about an international group of astronauts on a deep space mission has found a U.S. broadcaster. It will air on ABC later this summer. Christina Cox, who played VIckie on Blood Ties, Joan of Arc and a traffic cop on Forever Knight, and special effect guru Angie Ramirez on FX: The Series, co-stars. The show's not really my thing but I enjoy her so I'll check it out. It's only 13 episodes. The Forever Knight connection with Parriott at the helm is interesting but I really haven't been interested in his post FK endeavors other than the X-Files rip off Dark Skies.

aintitcoolnews had this to say:

The series was created by James Parriott, who also created “Misfits of Science” and “Forever Knight” but has more recently been toiling in such estrogen-soaked ABC hourlongs as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Ugly Betty.”

More recently, he also worked on FX's biker show Sons of Anarchy.

In a Hollywood Reporter article Parriott is quoted as saying:

"I have the first three seasons blocked out, and I know the ending of the series," Parriott said.

He knows how the series ends? Oy, and granted he didn't say the series would only last three seasons but those two tidbits get mashed around in my head and Forever Knight pops out.
