Oh you're a doll for commenting on this. None of my FK stories have seen the light of day in years, so I had some genuine anxiety about posting this. What's funny is that for a split second I almost went with labeling the story a ficlet or as vignette because it doesn't adhere to the traditional definition of a drabble. I guess the influence of Tumblr culture where a lot of short stories are mistakenly labeled as drabbles took over. Damn whippersnappers!
Originally the plan was to label the story as an excerpt/preview from "NAME OF THE FIC HERE", but I really don't like my working title of the story so I scrapped that idea entirely.
Wait, there's a wiki article for this? Yikes! Now I'm definitely going to remove the drabble label and change it to ficlet. If I don't, it's gonna bug me forever knowing that's it not a true drabble, lol. Honestly, I don't think it's being too "picky-picky" especially for an old school fandom like FK. Actual drabble writing is skill. I've tried and failed numerous times. "It's only a hundred words. How hard can it be," she says with false bravado.
